Drawing Closer to God:Finding Purpose and Peace

My Journey

As we step into June, I've found myself reflecting deeply on my purpose for this season. Amidst my aspirations of growing my blog and traveling more this summer, I felt an undeniable impression from Abba (Father) urging me to draw closer to Him. It's easy to get comfortable after achieving success or overcoming challenges, but John 14:6 reminds us that Jesus is "the way, and the truth, and the life." Even in our highest moments, there's always more that God wants to reveal and share with us.

John 14:6 (ESV)

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Embracing Peace Amidst Tribulation

Life is filled with seasons of waiting and resting in God's plan, but distractions often disrupt His path for us. John 16:33 speaks to this, offering us peace in Jesus despite the tribulations of the world. It's a comforting reminder that He has already overcome the world, and our peace is found in Him.

John 16:33 (ESV)

"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

In these moments, it's essential to renew our minds and refocus on His presence.

Seeking and Finding

As summer approaches, my heart yearns to find more ways to spend time with Abba, truly abiding in His presence. Matthew 7:7 encourages us to ask, seek, and knock, promising that those who do will find what they seek. This summer, I aim to prioritize time with Jesus over social media and other distractions.

Matthew 7:7 (ESV)

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."

What are some ways you can prioritize more time with Jesus? Imagine if the ultimate success and key to peace was found in seeking His presence above all else.

Being the Light

In Matthew 5:14, we are called "the light of the world," a beacon shining in the darkness. John 1:5 reassures us that "the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." Studying the Bible has taught me that understanding life's mysteries and trials comes from seeking God's face, not just His hand. In a world growing increasingly dark, drawing closer to Jesus, the Light of the World, helps us navigate through these challenging times.

Matthew 5:14 (ESV)

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden."

John 1:5 (ESV)

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

Reflect and Prioritize

So, yes, pursue your dreams and plans, but let Jesus be your first priority this summer. By making Him the center of our lives, we can find true success and peace, illuminating the world around us with His love and grace. Reflect on your relationship with God and consider ways to draw closer to Him in this season.

Let's embark on this journey together, seeking His presence and making Him our ultimate priority.

P.S

May this Summer be bring more favor to do the things you enjoy.
