Modest Fashion

Fashion is something that is big in the church community. We see the fashionistas that will wear no makeup and just skirts. We have the Sunday best dress chic that will have the nice suit and heels. We, of course, have the jeans and graphic tshirt with sneaker chic or boho wild and free christian fashionista. I believe we can't define our brothers and sisters by how they dress, but by how we present Christ in our fashion and dressing. Modesty starts with a willing heart to serve Christ and respect our body as temple of the Holy Spirit. I personally had to allow God to free me from the reglious view that there was only one way for Him to be glorified in how we dress. God created us to represent Him in our fashion. Fashion can be used for ministry if we allow Him to lead us in our fashion. The word modest to me is saying that I will be mindful in the way I represent myself. We just have to be mindful in our dressing. Fashion is apart of us and has been for generations. 😊 I enjoy wearing the african head wraps, dressing up in a nice jumpsuit, or even barbie doll dresses. Allow your personality to shine through the style God has given you and watch how it causes people to look at you and be amazed. You have a voice as a believer, even in the way you dress.
